Obviously the cost of your transfer will depend on how much film you have. If you want an idea of costs we will need to know what footage you have. This can be established by checking the reels - most larger reels will have a scale on them marked in feet - small reels have no scale but are approximately 3 inches across. BVP offer non-linear editing (computer based) on an Apple Mac using Final Cut Pro (FCP)*. We can edit material from mini-DV cassettes (from digital camcorders), full-sized DV cassettes, DVCam and HDV. Your final production may be put onto DVD complete with menu. We are also able to output video on files suitable for use in Powerpoint presentations or for webstreaming.

BVP undertake all sorts of editing projects - corporate, schools, theatre etc but do check out our options for the complete production process as you may find this a more cost-effective way of approaching your project.

BVP can copy from mini-DV, DV, DVCam, VHS, Super VHS and VHSC. Copies can be made onto DVD or VHS. Special rates apply for larger quantities plus schools and groups. We also offer DVD-R duplication. Call for pricing details.

Please note we do not currently copy from 8mm or Hi8mm tapes (camcorder tapes similar in size to an audio cassette). We also do not transfer or copy NTSC tapes (originating from America, Hong Kong or Japan) - these tapes may play on your machines but cannot be duplicated without conversion.
